About KidsDirect

KidsDirect has been online since 2001. Long enough that our very first pregnancy and growth calculators ran as simple iframes, back when that was the state of the art. Twenty-five years later, we’ve rebuilt those tools from the ground up, but the reason we started hasn’t changed: parents needed a place to get real information without digging through a dozen different sites, and we wanted to be that place.

The site is organized into three sections, each built around a different stage of parenting: BabiesDirect for pregnancy, prenatal care, and the early weeks with a new baby; KidsDirect for raising children through the school years; and ParentsDirect for the parenting side of it all — the questions, the fathering resources, the day-to-day of raising a family. Each has its own free tools, calculators, and articles, so wherever you are in the journey, there’s a section built for it.

We don’t outsource our advice to generic content mills. Our panel of contributors: including Dr. Kalman Heller, Dr. Robert Naseef, Pat Sonnenstuhl, and Dr. Daniel Ravel has spent years answering the questions real parents actually ask, and their work is woven throughout the site.

Where We’re Based

KidsDirect is run out of Huntington Beach, California. Surf Capital of the USA, but the families we hear from are everywhere. We’re always adding new tools and updating what’s here, so if it’s been a while since your last visit, there’s probably something new waiting for you.
