Kids' Height Predictor

Estimate a child's likely adult height from both parents' heights.

Remember — this is just a statistical estimate, not a prediction.

Child's sex
Mother's height
Father's height

Estimate uses the Mid-Parental Height method (Tanner, Goldstein & Whitehouse, 1970), accurate to roughly ±8.5 cm (about ±3.3 in) — the 3rd–97th percentile range for where an adult height typically lands. It doesn't account for the child's own current growth curve; a pediatrician tracking growth-chart percentiles over time can usually narrow that further.
